The new ALIMAK SCANDO 450 is a total upgrade of the ALIMAK CH construction hoist range first launched in 1998. Over 600 units of the CH range have been delivered and the modernization program encompassing new technology further strengthens the light and medium range construction hoists.

ALIMAK SCANDO 450 offers greater efficiency and improved durability, with lower energy consumption and reduced cost of ownership. Accessibility is improved by the use of the new microprocessor based control system, ALC II, which can solve many site logistic problems. For example, the system reduces waiting times by storing all calls from the landings and sending the hoist that is logistically nearest to a landing to pick up passengers.

ALIMAK SCANDO 450 also gets a new frequency control unit (FC), with closed-loop, which gives very smooth starting and stopping with low starting current and less wear and tear.

General Specification

The Alimak Scando 650 hoist offers strong performance, durability and lifting capacity, with low energy consumption and reduced cost of ownership.

Alimak has taken construction hoist technology to unprecedented levels with the introduction of the all-new Scando 650; a modular system that can adapt to different applications using relatively few modules and components.

Available in single or twin car configuration, the Scando 650 offers payloads of 1,500 to 3,200 kg/car and has a standard maximum lifting height of 250 m, which can be increased on request.

The free-standing mast height is 32 m when equipped with an optional pipe support.

Two or three FC frequency control or two DOL motors drive the system through a high efficiency gearbox. The Scando 650 operates at speeds up to 65 m/min and provides more hoistpower, while using as much as 40% less power than previous Scando models. Higher speed versions will be introduced later in the year.

The new high speed construction hoist for greater productivity

Available in single or dual car configuration, the ALIMAK SCANDO 650 FC-S offers payloads of 2,400 to 3,200 kg/car and has a maximum lifting height of 250 m as standard. Three Frequency Control (FC) motors drive the system through a high efficiency gearbox. The 650 FC-S operates at speeds up to 100 m/minute.

Speed and reliability are increasingly important features in large and complex building projects. Now true high-speed is a part of the 650 family.
