Our optimized design of the STRUKTURAS-FT leads to an economical and flexible formwork system for your cast-in-situ bridges.
Both the overhead and the underslung FT are designed for free cantilever construction of prestressed girder and cable-stayed concrete bridges. The FT consist of a self-supporting structure combined with a project-related formwork. A standard form traveller is designed for a maximum segment length of 5 m, a steel structure varying from 25 to 70 tonnes, depending on the weight of the superstructure, which varies from 75 to 300 tonnes.
The particular advantages of the Strukturas FT include low weight, simple solutions for freight and assembly, and adaptability to different bridge cross sections.
Depending on project conditions, a form traveller for segments above or bellow 5 m can be tailor-made.

Transportation system for prefabricated reinforcement cages. Positioning cages of around 20 tonnes in weight and lifting up to 40 m in height. System may be tailor-made for different types of reinforcement cage.
To reduce modification costs and increase the flexibility for the equipment from one project to another, a special form traveller can be supplied. The following variations can be accommodated:

THE UNDERSLUNG FT
For projects where reinforcement is to be prefabricated then the Strukturas underslung FT is the perfect choice. The external formwork for this FT is supported from below, leaving no obstruction to place prefabricated bottom slab, web and top slab reinforcement.
Special design solutions for the underslung Form Traveller can include a transportation and lifting system for placing prefabricated cages. Systems can be tailor-made for different types of reinforcement cages.
A standard underslung FT is designed for a segment length of 5 m. It can be tailor-made for segment lengths beyond 5 m or less. Our formwork can be supplied with wooden, steel or plastic sheeting, which can be recycled.
The underslung FT system can be adapted to different types of bridges, such as arch and cable stayed structures, leaving no obstructions to temporary or permanent cables as well as giving the opportunity for an easy “back-launch” to its initial installation position.
By using a special support frame it is possible to start on small pier heads. Our particular advantages are low weight and simple solutions.
